Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social services, health services, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in aging services field, with social services and experience specific to dementia in either a professional or personal setting preferred.
- Strong presenting and public speaking skills with experience in leading educational programs/trainings.
- Strong computer skills required with high proficiency in Microsoft 365 software required including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Good understanding of office equipment functions (i.e., copier, printers, fax, etc.).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively plan, manage, execute and measure outcomes for multiple priorities.
- Able and willing to work independently with flexibility and integrity.
- Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and work harmoniously and effectively with cross-functional teams, leadership, clients/residents, family members, volunteers, government agencies/personnel, the general public, and other external stakeholders.
- Possesses sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
- Is able to read, write and communicate effectively in the English language and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs. on a regular basis and 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be fully up to date with required vaccinations.
As an Outreach Program Coordinator you can expect to:
- Strengthens and broadens community partnerships between ECH and the greater Louisville community.
- Plans, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs ERS’ outreach ministry efforts throughout Louisville.
- Provides education, training, and ongoing support to partnering churches, businesses, and organizations on various age-related topics.
- Is responsible for partnering with the Marketing Department for the successful development and implementation of outreach ministry partnerships including the Dementia Inclusive initiative in Louisville.
- Serves as the liaison between ECH and the broader Louisville community for Dementia Inclusive initiative in partnership with VP of Middle Market and Outreach Ministry and Director of CMSI.
- Leads the Center for Memory Support and Inclusion’s (CMSI) Dementia Inclusive external initiative in Louisville with community partners and local businesses.
- Partners with external constituents to offer programs and support opportunities for those aging in place in the broader community as their care partners.
- Serves on a variety of committees as ECH representative within the broader Louisville community related to aging.
- Provides and/or coordinates support and education to individuals with dementia and their care partners regarding disease progression, coping skills, and loss and grief issues associated with diagnosis.
- Maintains effective relations with residents, families, staff, Board members, clinical partners, and other community constituents and agencies.
