The Contract Manager is responsible for Managing the execution of one or more prime contracts and the relationship with the customer’s internal management team. The Contract Manager implements prime contract management programs and helps drive compliance with contracts administration procedures. This position will manage projects; support proposals, negotiate, and facilitate execution of the prime contract in conjunction with sales and operations.
The Contract Manager ensures compliance with government regulations, statutes, and client practices. This role will support multiple projects of various sizes and complexity. This position will play a large role in change management and pre-claim support. It is expected that the individual will have extensive knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations, various agency supplements, contract management best practices and the skills required for efficiently managing multiple contracts.

What you’ll do:
- Be the subject matter expert on the prime contracts.
- Conduct the preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of Government contracts/subcontracts.
- Review the terms and conditions of contractual documents in order to reduce risk exposure and adherence to company policy.
- Prepare and provide contractually significant communications and notices.
- Coordinate with other project team members to identify customer related actions or inactions, which result in constructive contract changes and obligations.
- Recommend and implement actions to document and request the additional compensation or time due client.
- Provide support to business and execution units in the formation of contracts, including participating in the proposal, prime contract review, joint venture and/or subcontract partnering, and risk assessment process.
- Review proposals to ensure compliance with contract requirements including Truth In Negotiations Act.
- Facilitate smooth transition from sales to delivery with the support of the project team throughout life of a risk project.
- Coordinate with Legal, and Operations on contractual terms and risk issues.
- Review project correspondence to ensure all parties’ rights are protected and that it is consistent with the terms of the prime contract.
- Manage the development of contract summaries and reporting and updating throughout the lifecycle of the project and contract.
- Participate in functional management team reviews.
- Ensure compliance with management of vital records and relevant correspondence to support reporting, contract audit, claims and litigations, and contract close out.
- Report performance to management for use in maintaining contracts metrics.
- Manage centralized file storage and documentation for all contract-related materials.
- Follow the disputes process as defined by the prime to track and administer throughout the project.
- Perform basic administration of contracts/subcontracts such as execute contract processing, assist with project set-up, review invoices, monitor cost and schedule, and closeout.
What you’ll bring:
- 5 years of experience with Government contract management, (DOD, Fed/Civ & SLED focused contracts) GWAC contract experience a plus.
- Talented in Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Power Point and Adobe.
- Skilled CRM experience.
