Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee daily roofing operations, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Crew Supervision: Manage and mentor roofing crews, assign tasks, and ensure adherence to company standards and safety regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect workmanship throughout the project to ensure compliance with building codes, manufacturer requirements, and company quality standards.
- Material Coordination: Oversee the ordering, delivery, and distribution of materials, reducing waste and ensuring availability when needed.
- Safety Enforcement: Implement and enforce OSHA and company safety policies; conduct regular safety meetings and risk assessments.
- Logistics & Coordination: Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve on-site issues such as weather delays, material shortages, or unexpected structural challenges.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, prepare progress reports, and document project milestones for management review.
- Software Utilization: Use management software to thoroughly document project activities, track progress, and communicate updates.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Roofing Superintendent or similar supervisory role in roofing or construction.
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems, installation techniques, and construction safety protocols.
- Ability to use management software to document job activities, track work progress, and communicate effectively.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, understand technical drawings, and interpret construction specifications.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various job sites.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30) are a plus.
