Director of Quality
The Director of Quality leads and manages the quality assurance and control functions of the Quality department for the company. This pivotal role will ensure that products meet stringent aerospace standards while driving efficiencies and streamlining processes to support operational needs and business objectives.
What you’ll be doing:
- Overseeing the company’s quality management system (QMS) to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and regulatory requirements.
- Leading and mentoring the quality team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Collaborating with senior leadership to align quality goals with overall business objectives, including delivery timelines and cost efficiency.
- Evaluating and improving quality processes to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize production delays.
- Partnering with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to create seamless workflows that meet quality and production objectives.
- Implementing advanced quality tools such as SPC, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline processes and increase productivity.
- Ensuring all products and processes meet customer, industry, and regulatory requirements, including FAA, ITAR, and other aerospace-specific standards.
- Overseeing internal and external audits, addressing findings and maintaining certifications.
- Overseeing the resolution of non-conformances through corrective and preventive action programs.
- Overseeing quality control processes, including first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final product verification.
- Overseeing documentation and record-keeping, ensuring traceability and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Driving continuous improvements to reduce defects, improve first-pass yield, and enhance product reliability.
- Leading initiatives to identify and eliminate inefficiencies in quality-related processes.
- Promoting a culture of proactive problem-solving through root cause analysis and preventive actions.
- Establishing and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality and efficiency, using data to drive decision-making and improvements.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters with customers, ensuring satisfaction and swift resolution of issues.
- Overseeing supplier quality management, conducting audits, and implementing improvement plans as necessary.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in the aerospace manufacturing sector.
- Proven success in creating efficiencies and optimizing processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards, with experience leading audits and maintaining certifications.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

Salary : $135,000 - $145,000
