Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. has a job opportunity for a full time Combat Systems AEGIS IT Engineering Technician in Mayport, FL.
Summary: The AEGIS IT Engineering Technician will provide troubleshooting, repair, assessment, testing, and logistics support of US Navy shipboard AEGIS Information Technology Systems.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for the evaluation and correction of fleet system/equipment casualties and provide technical assistance on mechanical/electrical/electronic Combat Systems casualty repairs IAW the prescribed Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFFM) and fleet requirements.
May be asked to provide technical assistance for any system which Technician is qualified to provide technical assistance on this system or equipment. This assistance will consist of problem analysis, troubleshooting, isolation, correction and checkout testing to provide a clear path for resolution returning the mechanical/electrical/electronic Combat Systems and related equipment to full operational condition.
Perform assessment and maintenance of shipboard systems and equipment, training in maintenance and overhaul processes.
Perform the following operational assessment tasks during TSRAs, Ballistic Missile Defense Readiness Assessments (BMDRAs), INSURVs/ Mid Cycle Inspections (MCIs), Combat Systems Assessments (CSAs), and Pre-Deployment assessments, or similar test and inspection programs as necessary.
Provide integrated logistics and related support services to include logistics audits, reviews and assessments, which determine the adequacy of logistics support and recommend corrective actions to technical documentation, tools, support equipment, configuration, test equipment, and repair parts IAW fleet schedules.
May require travel 10% or greater both CONUS and OCONUS.
May require overtime.
Minimum Qualifications:
High Diploma or equivalent
At least 7 years of related experience including a minimum of 3 years of full time, hands-on experience in the accomplishment of Fleet Technical Assistance (FTA), Assessment and Logistical Support of U.S. Navy ships’ Information Technology Systems.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Working knowledge of Maintenance and Material Management (3M).
Experience that is a combination of combination of mechanical, electronic and electrical disciplines, but primarily electronics in nature
Experience performing assessment and oversight of repair of U.S. Navy ships’ AEGIS Information Technology systems.
Experience interpreting equipment technical manuals and mechanical and electrical drawings
Preferred Qualifications:
NECs: V69A, V75A, V36A, V42A, V55A, V60A, V68A; others may apply
Possess a DOD Secret clearance
ADA/Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs.
Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.
Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels.
May ride ships at sea for extended periods. May require wearing a respirator.
Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
Tasks performed involve 40% work in an office environment and 60% in a shipboard environment which may include working aloft, or in confined or secure spaces.
Job may require bending, stooping, lifting, and will be in an environment of low and high temperatures.
