Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. is seeking a full time Marine Gas Turbine Mechanic II in San Diego, CA.
Job Summary : Under minimal supervision, provide Journeyman-level support to accomplish maintenance, repair and overhaul of shipboard propulsion and power generation gas turbine engines and associated support equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Job functions include : disassemble, inspect, repair, overhaul, reassemble, and test the following equipment :
General Electric (GE) LM2500 and LM2500 Plus
Rolls Royce 501-K17, 501-K34, KB5 and 250 (RIMSS)Rolls Royce MT30Honeywell TF-40BSun Strand T-62Solar SaturnUtilizes the following shop equipment to accomplish requirements : precision measuring equipment, 55-ton hydraulic press, arbor press, drill press, bench grinder, precision grinders, parts sandblasting machine, and portable electrical, pneumatic, and hand tools.Performs ship-checks, validates and / or diagnose equipment condition and define required corrective actions.Assesses feasibility of accomplishment of work by I-level Production shops. If job isCompletes assigned work packages in a timely manner, meeting ships' and Production Department's scheduled goals and timelines / deadlines.Attends and participates in production meetings as required providing the status of gas turbine maintenance actions.Acts professional in all communications and dealings, including with all internal and external customers in the execution of assigned gas turbine maintenance duties.Required Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 4 years work related experienceMinimum 6 years specialized experience assessing and executing marine gas turbine repair requirementsUnderstanding of modifying and repairing a variety of shipboard systems, equipment and their components, associated marine gas turbine operations.Effective oral and written communicationSound interpersonal skills needed to interface, coordinate with company personnel, customers, and outside contacts, if appropriateBasic computer operationsAbility to obtain and maintain a DOD security ClearancePreferred Qualifications :
Prior satisfactory completion of Navy gas turbine schools.Current MGTI credentialsUnderstand drawings, technical manuals, and related data resources, including Naval Ships Engineering Drawing Repository (NSEDR), Technical Data Management Information System (TDMIS)Knowledgeable in Navy QA and Planning proceduresKnowledgeable in Navy Quality assurance practices and JFMM chapters relating to gas turbine maintenancePay Range :
The pay range for this role is $23.31 To $32.30 hourly. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to : business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
