Position Summary
The QA Manager provides management and direction to a team based on established business strategies, overseeing incoming and outgoing quality assurance functions of the company and ensuring compliance with ISO standards. Using their independent judgment, the QA Manager uses broad discretion to determine methods for achieving objectives, reviewing performance against the established department goals.
Essential Functions

- Develop, promote, execute, and manage the written Quality Management System for quality compliance, including audits, per-customer quality, and regulatory systems.
- Ensure compliance with quality expectations and industry guidelines in the areas of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and improve quality systems that are compliant, sustainable, scalable, and efficient. Interfaces cross-departmentally to ensure product specifications and that established procedures are adhered to.
- Analyze quality systems and communicate company quality trends to all necessary parties, internal and external, to the company.
- Establish and maintain quality agreements with vendors and qualify and audit all vendors. Serve as point of contact for all customer quality issues.
- Manage all quality documentation, including but not limited to change controls, CAPA’s, deviations, standard operating procedures, and batch records.
- Develop and administer the budget and action plans for all incoming and outgoing quality assurance territories.
- Administer and promote the SEC Kaizen continuous improvement program to ensure full compliance and participation within the organization.
- Ensures the company’s continuing compliance with current ISO standards.
- Support Epson’s global vision by promoting teamwork and delivering unique value through innovative and creative solutions and support Epson’s Environmental Vision 2050 to become carbon-negative and underground resource-free to achieve sustainability and enrich communities.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge of industry best practices by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies

- Provide consistent, high-quality output to ensure customer satisfaction and create value to exceed customer expectations
- Regular and reliable attendance is required to accomplish essential functions of the job
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge of industry best practices by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, visiting other manufacturing facilities, and participating in professional societies
- Ensure confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
- Domestic and International business travel may be required
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree or equivalent applicable education and work experience is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of quality assurance experience preferred
- Strong understanding of current ISO standards
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance, inspection, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with all levels of personnel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in a warehouse, manufacturing, cleanroom, and/or office environment that is subject to moderate to high levels of noise, specialized apparel, safety equipment, and moving mechanical parts. This position will have exposure to and use of materials listed in the company’s Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee conducts primarily medium work with constant periods of standing, walking, reaching, squatting, climbing, stooping, talking, listening, pushing, and pulling. Repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers are required.
