Position Summary
The QA Technician I works under direct supervision to provide technical quality assurance support of finished goods in accordance with quality, operations, and time standards. The Technician is responsible for performing quality inspections and measurements to identify issues and support the defective parts resolution process necessary to meet company goals.
Essential Functions

- Provide technical support to manufacturing areas to analyze and resolve parts issues, using analytical and diagnostic skills to recognize product quality issues
- Support company material review through verification of material defects and related documentation, participating in defective parts resolution processes as needed
- Understand blueprints, schematics, and dimensional measurements to perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections in ensure company quality standards are met
- Assist with analyzing and improving company quality systems, XRF testing, 4M-change evaluation, and new product introduction with the Engineering department
- Basic fundamental operation of CMM and vision inspection machines

- Provide consistent, high-quality output to ensure customer satisfaction and create value to exceed customer expectations
- Regular and reliable attendance is required to accomplish essential functions of the job
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge of industry best practices by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, visiting other manufacturing facilities, and participating in professional societies
- Ensure confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
- Domestic and International business travel may be required
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and work experience required; Associate’s degree preferred
- 2 years of quality assurance or inspection required
- Familiarity with defective parts resolution processes and techniques
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, height gauge, and ram optical instruments
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate will all levels of personnel
- Proficient PC skills are required, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in a manufacturing, cleanroom, and/or office environment that are subject to moderate to high levels of noise, specialized apparel and safety equipment, and moving mechanical parts. This position will have exposure to and use of materials listed in the company’s Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee conducts primarily light work with constant periods of standing, walking, reaching, squatting, climbing, stooping, talking, listening, pushing, pulling, and visual inspections. This position requires the ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 50 pounds on occasion. Repetitive motions (movements) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers are required.
