Job Description
This Payroll Specialist position is with Kysor-Warren Epta, part of the global Epta Group, located in Columbus, Georgia. As a key member of the HR / Total Rewards team, you will play a vital role in executing payroll functions and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Your contribution :
- Process weekly, semi-monthly, and off-cycle payroll, including new hires, status changes, terminations, tax changes, wage garnishments, and other statutory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with multi-state wage and hour laws.
- Prepare deductions and payment inputs with precision and accuracy.
- Generate weekly financial reports, with experience in reporting tools considered a plus.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and provide support to employees.
- Process payroll-related invoices and maintain accurate records.
- Run various audit reports to verify the accuracy of third-party transactions.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure secure handling of payroll data.
- Support supervisors and managers in utilizing timekeeping software effectively.
- Work on holidays or weekends as needed to accommodate payroll processing schedules.
- Ensure proper accounting and accurate calculations of payroll functions while adhering to legal requirements.
- Participate in and potentially lead payroll-related projects, providing essential coordination and support.
