Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and developing behavior intervention plans for individuals with behavioral challenges, particularly those with autism and other developmental disabilities. You will work collaboratively with families, educators, and other professionals to implement effective strategies that promote positive behavior change and enhance the quality of life for your clients.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify behavioral issues and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to address challenging behaviors and promote skill acquisition.
- Provide diagnostic evaluations to determine the appropriate interventions for clients.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and any modifications made during therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and educational staff to ensure consistency in behavioral interventions across settings.
- Monitor client progress through regular data collection and analysis.
- Train and supervise staff or paraprofessionals in implementing behavior intervention strategies.
- Advocate for clients by promoting awareness of behavioral health needs within the community.
Skills
- Proficient in Applied Behavior Analysis principles and techniques.
- Strong background in medical documentation practices.
- Experience in patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation processes.
- Familiarity with special education practices and working with children with disabilities.
- Knowledge of behavioral health issues, particularly related to autism spectrum disorders.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams.
