Equifax is looking for an experienced event/meeting manager to support the Corporate Sports & Events Team in the preparation and execution of internal and external events. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the hotel industry, corporate meeting planning and/or meeting operations. This individual will play an integral role in researching, coordinating and assisting in the planning,
execution, and post activities of our internal and external meetings and events.
Reporting to the Sr Director, Brand Marketing & Meetings, this position works from our office in Alpharetta with the flexibility to work remotely two days per week. (This is NOT a fully-remote role.)

What you’ll do:
- Search and document vendors for meeting space, transportation, production, off-site events, sleeping rooms and all other needs associated with meetings and events
- Manage documentation to provide to off-site vendors regarding room set-up, food and beverage, audio-visual, arrival and departure and rooming list and other venue arrangements
- Create conference websites containing logistical information and/or online registration via Stova
- Coordinate details of the marketing efforts for each event (emails, registration site elements, invitations, etc.)
- Generate communications for attendees pre and post meeting
- Create, duplicate, and assemble conference materials including name badges, tent cards, signs, packets, and other materials, and coordinate outbound and return shipping
- Manage the creative element by creating the production schedule for meetings and events, entering the project into Workfront/Wrike, managing the proofing/approval/production process
- Lead and manage specific sports-related trips and events
- May assist with on-site management during the operation of specific meetings and events
- Manage post-event activities including creation and distribution of surveys, mailing materials to attendees, creating post-event reporting
- Manage all tasks and processes to support the Corporate Marketing and Communications teams with all Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders, Invoices and new Vendor Onboarding
- Serve as secondary support for internal ticketing initiatives and management software
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required
- 2 years in meeting planning, meeting operations or hotel industry
- Experience with meeting management and registration software programs
- Experience working with vendors and clearly explain our needs and expectations
- Ability to manage multiple fast-moving projects at the same time
- Excellent problem solving skills, effective communicator, detail-oriented, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel 10-20% of the time
- Corporate Events experience is highly preferred
- Sports events background is plus
- Experience using Stova would be a plus, but not required
