What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Security Operations Center - Lead Analyst position at Equifax?
This role will work within the Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC) in Alpharetta, GA. The Physical Security Operations Center Lead Analyst will be part of a team that provides 24-hour monitoring and response of technology and physical security systems. The role is to detect, analyze, and alert others regarding any condition impacting the company’s assets, business, or personnel.
- This resource should be local to Atlanta and will be required to work from the following Equifax office location - Alpharetta
- Corporate Return To Office expectations: Onsite weekly requirements (Monday through Friday shifts). Additionally, Due to the nature of Corporate Security, this resource must be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, periodic overtime, and unscheduled shifts
- The main goal of the PSOC Analyst position is to maintain situational awareness, gather information from internal and external sources, coordinate incidents with security leaders and internal investigators, and disseminate information for priority matters
- This job will interact with customers, law enforcement, external parties, and employees at all levels of the organization
- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
- Initiate incident management for incidents under the authority of Corporate Security
- Receive information on multiple platforms, assess a situation to ensure pertinent requirements are gathered, and make informed decisions quickly to initiate appropriate actions during stressful situations
- Communicate with security leaders to coordinate the initiation of incidents in case management system
- Document information and actions taken in case management system
- Support security personnel by providing additional information through research of internal and external systems
- Prepare and disseminate security products at the request of security leaders
- Maintain situational awareness of ongoing incidents and events by monitoring internal systems and external open source systems
- Provide direct and indirect support to security personnel as needed throughout the duration of the event
- Monitor access control systems and surveillance cameras and investigate alarms and incidents
- Monitor external open source platforms for physical security threats to company assets and initiate incident management when appropriate
- Support all business units, facilities, and employees by addressing any emergency and non-emergency incidents that come to the attention of the PSOC, whether security related or not
- Conduct special projects and assignments in support of the PSOC and Security Operations
- Monitors various methods of communication to include email, chat, and phone; engages with internal and external customers
- Analyzes technical situations and escalates based on set requirements
- Provide technical support for a range of server platforms
- Initiates Incident reporting and collaborates with Incident Managers for timely resolution
- Monitors and performs basic troubleshooting for network and server environments
- Perform other duties as requested
- The Lead Analyst will perform duties as the lead training coordinator for any newly hired Physical Security Operations Center Analyst/Specialist. The Lead Analyst will ensure the Analyst/Specialist-in-Training is competent to perform the duties of an Analyst/Specialist by the end of the prescribed training period. The Lead Analyst will assign the Analyst/Specialist-in-Training to conduct training via multiple sources such as web-based, in person instruction, and hands on learning. The Lead Analyst will assign the Analyst/Specialist-in-Training to other Analysts/Specialists for various blocks of training as needed.
- The Lead Analyst will demonstrate leadership and a willingness to ensure the success of other Analysts/Specialists within the Physical Security Operations Center. If a Physical Security Operations Center Supervisor and/or Manager is temporarily out of the office, the Lead Analyst will provide leadership and guidance during emergency situations and provide command and control over the Physical Security Operations Center until relieved by a Supervisor or Manager.
- The Lead Analyst will work with the Physical Security Operations Center Supervisors and Manager to assist with special assignments; assist in the acquisition and presentation of evidence as required for audit requests; work with the Physical Security Operations Center Supervisors in obtaining metrics and creating the weekly brief presentations; and will assist the Physical Security Operations Center Supervisors with the scheduling of Analysts/Specialists as needed.
- The Lead Analyst will have excellent time-management, communication, presentation, and organizational skills; demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills; ability to prioritize workload based on urgency; and communicate to a range of audiences.
- Proficient computer usage with Google Suite (G Suite) environments and Windows based programs
- Strong customer service skills and ability to multitask in a fast paced and quickly changing environment

- Highly preferred prior experience with physical security, access control, video surveillance, and intelligence monitoring applications
- Demonstrated Leadership experience in above referenced experience (physical security, access control, video surveillance, intelligence monitoring, etc)
- Fluent bilingual or multilingual speaker, specifically Spanish
- Ability to be patient and teach skills and processes to remote locations
- Prior experience compiling high-level situation reports
- Prior experience working in a 24-hour operations center, security control room, or 911 dispatch center
