We seek a qualified Production/ Manufacturing Manager to join our team and lead our manufacturing facility to new heights. As the Production / Manufacturing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of daily operations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and achieving production excellence opportunity.
Main Responsibilities:
Production/ Manufacturing Manager
- Plan and schedule production activities by establishing tasks, objectives, and priorities.
- Ensures that products are manufactured meet the company and customer requirements.
- Balance workload distribution across the team and provide required support.
- Identify and resolve manufacturing issues in a timely manner.
- Responsible for communication, and execution of the production plan with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain and track production schedule and meet lead times to ensure on time deliveries.
- Ensures that employees have received training in good manufacturing techniques.
- Work closely with purchasing and logistics to confirm that standard procurement policies and procedures are followed.
- Build relationships with both internal and external partners to foster a collaborative work environment and sustain long term alliances.
- Provide formal and informal feedback to subordinates to ensure their continuous development.
- follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Qualifications:
- 3-7 years’ experience in sheet metal and fabrication with a minimum of 3 years in a Supervisory role
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety Act and legislative requirements
- The ability to work in an environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential.
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Production, engineering, supply chain, etc.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and exposure to Six Sigma methodology and tools is preferred.
- Progressively responsible manufacturing and supervisory experience in the Equipment Industry.
