How You’ll Contribute:
As the Lead Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will oversee the full-cycle recruitment process for full-time and temporary positions. You’ll partner with hiring managers to define and source top talent while ensuring an inclusive and collaborative work environment. This role involves designing innovative recruiting strategies, enhancing employee retention efforts, and driving programs that align with EquiTrust’s core values.
What You’ll Do:
- Build strong, proactive relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for diverse positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies, including market outreach and targeting specific candidate profiles.
- Consult with hiring managers on business needs, candidate qualifications, and compensation packages.
- Partner with Total Rewards to craft competitive offers and lead offer negotiations.
- Champion EquiTrust’s employer brand to attract top-tier talent.
- Utilize various platforms like LinkedIn and Indeed to source a diverse talent pool.
- Foster relationships with external recruitment firms for strategic hiring needs.
- Mentor junior team members and participate in department planning initiatives.
- Evaluate talent acquisition processes, recommending improvements and logical solutions.
- Represent the Talent Acquisition Team at recruitment or company-sponsored events.
- Collaborate with HR and cross-functional teams on talent and engagement initiatives.
What You’ll Bring:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, including full-cycle recruiting required.
- At least 5 years of direct sourcing experience required.
- At least 2 years experience required with proficiency in using platforms like LinkedIn, Indeed, and applicant tracking systems.
- Experience in the life insurance and/or annuity industry is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter, UKG Recruiter, or similar tools is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Advanced communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Expertise in assessing candidates and presenting high-quality profiles.
- Adaptability in managing workflows and reprioritizing based on hiring needs.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite and ATS configuration.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive work environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
Where You’ll Work:
- Office Location: West Des Moines, Iowa, or Chicago, Illinois (Mostly Off-Site)
- Expected Travel: Infrequent (less than 5% of the time).
