What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Associate III, Deposits position at Equity Administrative Services Inc And Affiliates?
This position is based out of our Westlake, OH office and is eligible for a hybrid schedule after probationary period.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Operations Associate III, Deposits demonstrates an advanced understanding of incoming check deposits and money movements. In this role, you will review complex tasks and transactions, and maintain documentation within established service levels.
- Process automated bulk dividend files from asset providers through secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) sites
- Run deposits for 401(k) plans and non-plans
- Process returned deposit checks rejected by the bank
- Research and process returned outstanding checks to find resolution and ensure client satisfaction
- Balance daily transactions ensuring accuracy and entering all times in Trust Accounting and bank accounts
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all daily tasks are completed by end of each day
- Perform other duties as assigned
- HS diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the banking and/or financial services industry
- Experience in the retirement industry preferred

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with and an understanding of the following:
- Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, with expert-level proficiency in Excel
- Intermediate 10-key skills with a minimum of 9,000 KSPH preferred
- Ability to type 45 words per minute (WPM) preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to speak and hear. The associate is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. This job requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
