Marina Security Officer

Job Description:

Els is seeking a skilled Gate Attendant to join our team in Marblehead, Ohio. As a Gate Attendant, you will be responsible for permitting access to the resort, issuing guest passes, answering questions, enforcing rules and ensuring the safety of our guests and their belongings.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the property with a keen eye for any issues or potential problems.
• Ensure the property is properly secured.
• Enforce resort rules, respond to areas of concern and contact law enforcement if necessary.
• Validate incoming members and guests through the gate.
• Prioritize guest safety and happiness.
• Perform on-call emergency services as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills, and the ability to use computer applications.
• Able to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Able to assess situations, use quick judgment and resolve problems diplomatically.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with a friendly demeanor.
• Experience working in security and/or law enforcement, and/or working in a marina or RV environment, is beneficial.
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Able to work weekends and holidays on a regular basis.
