What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title Examiner position at Equity Title Agency?
Overview
This is a full time on-site role as Title Examiner. As part of our Title team, you will be responsible for tasks such as conducting title searches, examining the chain of title, reviewing documents of record and managing amended title requests to ensure a smooth escrow closing.
Duties
- Examining chain of title for preparation of Title insurance.
- Knowledge of the title process to determine steps needed to be taken to insure clear title to real property.
- Work with the Escrow department to resolve title issues such as legal descriptions, lot splits, vesting, all types of tax liens, abstracts of judgment, bankruptcy, boundary disputes, encroachments, Lis Pendens, etc.
- Review and collect all documents necessary to issue title insurance.
- Review of documents prior to recordation in appropriate county.
Requirements
- Proven experience in title examination in both Maricopa and Yavapai counties for both sale and refinance transactions.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Impact, Green Folders, Data Trace and Data Tree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Word and Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and thrive in busy environment.
- Knowledge of real estate and title insurance industry.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
