Responsibilities
• Conducts searches for suitable job openings for clients, comparing client qualifications with employers’ requirements• Develops and maintains effective relationships with area employers and program participants• Identifies a wide variety of job opportunities for candidates• Enter case related data on a regular basis• Ensure that the participant is job ready (including interviewing, resume)• Works with businesses to identify job openings, alternative work activities and training initiatives including Subsidized Employment and OJT opportunities.• Serves as the liaison between the AJC Job Seeker Consultants and the Business Services Team• Required collaboration with Job Seeker Consultants to review job seeker resumes and Career Pathway• The Employment Plans are customized and tailored to the individual needs of the job seeker• Review labor market information (LMI) that is customized and tailored to each individual• Facilitates seamless experience between candidates and aligned employers. Ensures seamless handoffs between workforce and hiring manager for sourcing/screening, interview/selection, and hiring decision communication stages of the process. Ensuring Talent Development Manager and appropriate center management are aware at all times• Referrals and coordination with other workforce activities, including job readiness workshops• Job search assistance that includes placement assistance and referrals to employment• Career readiness activities, including assistance or instruction in creating or updating resumes or application, or preparing for interviews• Keeps project staff apprised of local business needs and job placement opportunities• Maintains follow-up contact with employers to determine satisfaction with services• Outreach employers and maintain a relationship with employers and organizations in various demand industries. Ensure that you are referring job seekers with updated resume to the hiring employers• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or 2 years work experience in business to business sales, marketing, customer service, staffing or recruiting• Minimum of three to four years’ experience in full-cycle recruiting for mid-level to executive positions• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Demonstrated customer service skills• Should have a considerable skill in interviewing techniques and good knowledge of all functions of industry clusters• Familiarity with communities being served with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources• Demonstrated knowledge of labor market trends• Demonstrated computer skills, with experience using word processing and spreadsheet software programs• Demonstrated performance in successful placement into employment• Ability to meet and/or exceed set goals and objectives• Demonstrated experience in communicating with area employers• A valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance that meets the State requirements
