Position Summary :
The Sr. Sourcing Analyst will compile, analyze, and report supply chain data, track costs on new and existing products, evaluate supplier performance, review supply plans and forecast market trends. This role will assess the efficiency of our sourcing operations through data collection and analysis to assist global sourcing in the acquisition, planning and management of specified commodities. Responsible for incorporating business intelligence to optimize our sourcing and related metrics. To be successful in this role, the Sr. Sourcing Analyst should demonstrate extensive experience in data analyzing and evaluating Supply Chain metrics.
Position Responsibilities :
- Extract and interpret raw data in support of fact-based decision making on strategic supply and operational initiatives.
- Provide analysis and recommendations in all phases of a project life cycle implementation, gap analysis, mapping, testing, and business process development.
- Prepare industry and market trend forecasts.
- Compile and monitor data and present reports on operational and strategic supply chain performance KPIs to key stakeholders.
- Manage and establish efficient reporting on Gross Margin Analysis through BOM cost changes, design updates and change.
- Gather and analyze data for different departments to enhance, continuously improve or mitigate operational or supply chain related processes.
- Maintain system accuracy.
- Participate in supply chain analytics discussions to help capture the necessary data needed to model current business processes.
- Establish effective communication channels with cross functional teams.
- Resolve day-to-day supply chain issues and promote operational consistency.
- Manage projects and tasks to meet deliverables and deadlines.
- Establish collaborative and constructive relationships with functional managers and supply chain management to understand current and future business needs and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Support data preparation for pricing negotiations, contracts, business plans and supply chain activities.
- Additional duties as requested.
- Supports "Lean Business Enterprise" initiatives for continuous process improvement and waste elimination.
- Position Requirements (Knowledge and Experience) :
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, MIS, or equivalent.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Proficient in Oracle, Salesforce, and Business Intelligence applications, Microsoft Power BI preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of operational or strategic sourcing experience desired.
- Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in mitigating risks by predicting future industry trends.
- Understanding of common forecast methodologies and principles.
- Ability to work independently on specified tasks.
- Particular attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and form relationships with all levels of external and internal stakeholders.
- Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job as described to you for the position.
