Duties
- Prepare and bake a wide range of products including breads, pastries, cakes, and specialty items.
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, adhering to customer specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Assist in catering orders by preparing large quantities of baked goods as required.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients and addressing their needs or concerns.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, mixers, and knives.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Proficiency in pastry techniques, cake decorating, and catering services is highly desirable.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various baking tools are important for this role.
