ERA seeks a motivated Structural Engineer who is interested in growing a rewarding career. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible to work with a variety of clients including architects, owners, and contractors to create structural designs and construction documents within a team setting. You will coordinate with project partners and assist with executing the structural design.
As a key member of our structural engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate project plans on time and within budget, consistently exceeding client expectations. Your role will involve performing structural analysis of buildings and other structures using current software and designing structural systems with concrete, steel, timber, and other materials. You will collaborate with project partners and clients to solve complex problems with a service-minded approach and coordinate with the internal team on design drawings and report preparation. Additionally, you will provide guidance to less experienced engineers, review the work of other engineers and BIM modelers, and work with construction partners to ensure a smooth construction process. Managing project workload and assisting with staffing needs are also critical aspects of this role, contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Project Coordination
- Perform structural analysis and design of buildings using concrete, steel, timber, and other materials
- Oversee and coordinate project milestones, ensuring the client and internal teams are aligned on deliverables.
- Attend internal kickoff meetings and external coordination meetings
- Develop designs for structural systems and project specifications
- Manage project scope, budgets, and timelines.
Documentation and Quality Assurance
- Maintain project documentation, ensuring all deliverables—calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports—are accurate and up to date.
- Review and approve internal design documents, drawings, and calculations, ensuring compliance with project scope, quality standards, and internal procedures.
- Coordinate and schedule internal quality reviews and ensure project deliverables undergo comprehensive interdisciplinary coordination.
- Communicate any discrepancies or scope changes to the Project Manager to ensure alignment with client expectations.
Construction Support
- Evaluate special inspection reports and address deviations from design documents
- Oversee the review of shop drawings and submittals, ensuring timely responses and coordination with the construction team.
- Support construction partners in resolving field issues, ensuring that they are efficiently and accurately addressed to avoid project delays.
Administrative & Client Facing Duties
- Read and interpret project proposals to understand scope, schedule and budget, and engage with clients to confirm expectations are aligned
- Work with Project Manager and other team members to align engineering tasks with budgeted hours and project priorities
- Engage in legacy knowledge transfer to ensure continuity of client relationships
- Help ensure repeat business by understanding and delivering on client values.

- Full Time - Exempt
- In – Person Core Office Hours: 9:00am-3:00pm Monday- Thursday
- Friday Flex – 9:00am-12:00pm
