JOB DESCRIPTION
OVERVIEW
The HR Special Project Manager is responsible for supporting talent management and employee engagement initiatives by driving professional development programs and fostering a culture of feedback and continuous improvement. This role focuses on HR process improvement, employee experience enhancement, and the tracking and analysis of HR metrics to inform data-driven decision-making. The position plays a key role in the implementation of people analytics, scorecards, and dashboards to monitor workforce trends and improve HR strategies.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS

The HR Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing human resources projects from inception to successful completion. This role involves planning, organizing, and executing HR initiatives while ensuring that project goals are closely aligned with the college’s strategic objectives.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:
Professional Development
  • Collaborate with Dir of Talent Management to design and implement training programs that ensure workforce readiness and future skill development for all College employees.
  • Develop and implement professional development initiatives that enhance employee growth and career progression.
  • Drive a culture of continuous feedback by supporting performance management programs and professional development strategies.
Employee Engagement
  • Collaborate with leadership to design and implement employee engagement programs that foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Analyze engagement survey results to identify trends and develop programs aligned with employee needs and address gaps.
Process Improvement
  • Support the design and execution of employee experience enhancements that align with college and HR strategies.
  • Identify and execute HR process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate change management activities across departments by engaging key stakeholders, promoting adoption of new processes, and ensuring smooth transitions through effective communication and training.
Data Analytics
  • Track, analyze, and report on HR metrics related to talent management, retention, and workforce planning.
  • Develop and maintain human capital scorecards and dashboards to provide insights into key HR trends and performance indicators.
  • Conduct benchmarking and research on best practices in talent management and HR process optimization.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Strong understanding of employee development strategies, workforce planning, and HR process improvement.
  • Knowledge of best practices in training program development, performance management, and continuous learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex HR projects with multiple stakeholders and vendors.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues and risks.
  • Experience working with HR metrics, data analytics, and workforce planning tools.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and data visualization tools
  • Strong project management skills, including project planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information to different audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure with varying time constraints and excellent organizational skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR project or program management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A master’s degree
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Official transcripts will be required for successful candidates within 30 days of hire
Salary will range from $60,000 to $75,000.
