ECRDA Grant Administrator

The Erie County Redevelopment Authority (ECRDA) is seeking a Grant Administrator to become part of a fast-paced, driven-to-excel grant administration team. Expectations are high, but the rewards are even higher. Deadlines dictate daily and monthly priorities, and the workplace atmosphere swings from highly intense productivity to lighter catch-up days.

New grant applications and ongoing grant management are achieved through consistent communication and unwavering teamwork, which is why these two qualities will be a must for the ideal candidate. Basic knowledge of grant compliance at the state level will also be required, but because the new team member will be offered ample training and support throughout the grant writing and management learning process, extensive grant administrative experience will not be necessary. This is considered an entry-level position for anyone wishing to begin a new career and/or grow within the economic development realm.

Additional details:

· Both part- and full-time applications will be considered

· The training period (6-12 months, depending on experience) will be office-based

· Occasional remote work, as appropriate, can be earned at the completion of the training period

Minimum requirements:

· Exceptional organizational skills

· Exceptional communication skills

· Proven ability to work well in a team environment

· Willingness (eagerness) to learn

· Ability to work respectfully with clients and maintain confidentiality when required

· Basic knowledge of grant compliance at the state level

· Basic familiarity with economic development and ECRDA’s mission

· Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience is preferred.

Preference may be given to the following candidates:

· Direct experience with Pennsylvania Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grants

· Proven history of successful grant compliance administration

· Interest in or commitment to growing the Erie County region through economic development

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

· Daily and weekly team meetings to prioritize projects and organize assignments

· Regular updates to grant compliance spreadsheets for clients’ projects

· Organize and tabulate project data and progress in Excel

· Research new grant opportunities

· Respond to client questions and provide progress updates

· Organize all incoming and outgoing documents and communications

· Regularly update direct supervisor on all grant and project progress

· Other duties as assigned

ECRDA provides:

· Positive and collaborative team atmosphere

· Grant compliance training and job support throughout the team member’s tenure

· Professional development opportunities

· Medical, dental, and vision benefits (full-time employment)

· 403b and life insurance benefits (full-time employment)

Please provide resume and brief letter describing your interest in the position and why you would make a good fit for the ECRDA team.
