Position Summary
Manages operations of the Medicare resource team, assisting in operational effectiveness, talent management, staffing, and responsible for overall Medicare compliance, processes, and reporting.
- Successful candidate will work from Home and must live in ERIE’s Footprint.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages overall operations of designated area of authority. Interviews, hires, trains, and directs personnel. Prepares and conducts performance assessments, coordinates discipline and oversees Employee development as required.
- Analyzes and evaluates workload and staffing, to ensure team productivity and performance is adequate.
- Monitors the day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, communicating updates on department to leadership.
- Compiles and reviews multiple reports for statistical and financial tracking purposes to identify trends and deficiencies in Medicare reporting and develop action plans to ensure compliance.
- Develops and conducts Medicare related training as needed.

Qualifications
Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor Degree preferred with two years' previous medical claim handling or equivalent experience required.
- Associate degree and four years' medical claims adjusting or equivalent experience, required; or
- High school diploma or equivalent and six years' previous medical claims adjusting or equivalent experience, required.
Additional Experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical coding preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills preferred.
- Travel for training and business required.
Designations and/or Licenses
- Willingness to obtain and maintain any state required licenses.
- Completion of Associate in Claims (AIC) designation preferred.
