Position Summary
Manages operations of the Medicare resource team, assisting in operational effectiveness, talent management, staffing, and responsible for overall Medicare compliance, processes, and reporting.
Successful candidate will work from Home and must live in ERIE's Footprint.Duties and Responsibilities
Manages overall operations of designated area of authority. Interviews, hires, trains, and directs personnel. Prepares and conducts performance assessments, coordinates discipline and oversees Employee development as required.Analyzes and evaluates workload and staffing, to ensure team productivity and performance is adequate.Monitors the day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, communicating updates on department to leadership.Compiles and reviews multiple reports for statistical and financial tracking purposes to identify trends and deficiencies in Medicare reporting and develop action plans to ensure compliance.Develops and conducts Medicare related training as needed.The first four duties listed are the functions identified as essential to the job. Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements
Bachelor Degree preferred with two years' previous medical claim handling or equivalent experience required.Associate degree and four years' medical claims adjusting or equivalent experience, required; orHigh school diploma or equivalent and six years' previous medical claims adjusting or equivalent experience, required.Additional Experience
Knowledge of medical terminology and medical coding preferred.Strong communication and presentation skills preferred.Travel for training and business required.Designations and / or Licenses
Willingness to obtain and maintain any state required licenses.Completion of Associate in Claims (AIC) designation preferred.Physical Requirements
