Position Summary:
The Outside Sales Rep will lead and manage the sales efforts for Erie Plating Company, focusing on expanding our customer base, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the metal finishing industry, an eye for new business opportunities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed company revenue goals.
- Identify new business opportunities within the metal finishing market, including new industry segments and geographic regions.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, offering personalized solutions to meet their metal finishing needs.
- Act as the main point of contact for high-value clients and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
- Conduct training sessions to improve team performance, focusing on product knowledge, customer service, and negotiation skills.
- Market Analysis & Reporting:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and product offerings.
- Provide regular sales reports and updates to senior management, including revenue forecasts, pipeline analysis, and key account status.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales role, preferably within the manufacturing or metal finishing industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of metal finishing processes and industry standards is a plus.
