Position Title: English Teacher
Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature and composition, a love of teaching, and a desire to foster a positive and intellectually stimulating classroom environment. This teacher will be responsible for helping students develop strong reading, writing, and analytical skills that prepare them for college-level coursework and lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with Erie Prep’s curriculum standards.
- Teach a range of English courses, including literature, grammar, creative writing, and academic writing.
- Guide students in developing their reading comprehension, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.

- Integrate technology and multimedia tools to enhance instruction and learning outcomes.
- Communicate regularly with parents, advisors, and school leadership about student progress.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience teaching English at the high school level.
- Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary literature, writing pedagogy, and assessment practices.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
