About the Role:

As an IS Support Specialist, you will be the first line of support for our internal users, addressing their IT needs and resolving technical issues. You will provide both onsite and remote support for hardware and software applications, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise will help enhance the user experience and support the broader goals of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support via phone, email, chat, and in person to internal users
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly
  • Install, configure, and maintain software applications and operating systems
  • Perform routine system maintenance, including updates and patches
  • Manage user accounts, including onboarding and offboarding, primarily through Active Directory
  • Educate users on best practices for IT security and software usage
  • Collaborate with IT teams to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Document all support requests and resolutions accurately
  • Participate in system upgrades and new technology deployments
  • Assist in developing and enforcing IT policies and procedures
  • Provide feedback to management on user needs and potential system improvements


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 2 years of experience in technical support or a related role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Office 365
  • Hands-on experience with hardware repairs and software installations
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting methodologies
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Experience with Active Directory management
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in IT practices

Hourly pay: $19.00/hr. to $24.00/hr. Depending on experience.
