We are looking for an experienced buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in obtaining required materials, sourcing through additional vendors, vendor consolidation, to meet our organization's procurement needs. This position requires a blend of excel knowledge, ERP processes optimize our purchasing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing Strategy: Assist in the development and execution of sourcing strategies that align with organizational objectives and compliance requirements.
- Risk Assessment: Assist in the Evaluation potential risks associated with suppliers and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure sourcing decisions support overall business strategies.
- Order Management: Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and address any issues related to order fulfillment.
- Expediting: follows up and expedites delivery of Purchase orders placed by the vendor.
- Report Review: there are daily and weekly reports that will need to be worked for Late Confirmed and Non-Confirmed Purchase orders in both the US and Canada.
- Inventory Oversight: Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock, preventing shortages or overstock situations. Collaboration with the Field Inventory Managers
Skills and Abilities:
- Highly functional Excel skills.
- Outstanding quantitative and data analysis skills and interpretation abilities.
- Experience utilizing ERP systems to drive reporting and analytics.
- Strong project management and process improvement skills.
- Problem solving experience in reducing total costs and improving processes
- Continuous Improvement experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, Business or related field preferred, but not required. Will accept high school diploma with 5-7 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with procurement software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
