Assistant Golf Shop Manager

Duties / Responsibilities
Training
- Assist in training new staff members on required job standards, department procedures, policies, and POS system.
- Develop new training procedures and processes for lodging & golf operations;
- Implement on-going training for existing staff, weekly staff messaging, monthly staff meetings and working with staff who needs additional training.
- Work closely with MIT's to help with issues you notice & problems you had when working in their position
Work as MOD
- Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Monitor the status of daily and overnight guest check-in/Check-out
- Ensure hotel folios are charged correctly and accurately before Check-out
- Work with housekeeping managers on room status cleanliness & availability
- Work with outside service managers to ensure golf bags and luggage are moved correctly
- Work with caddie managers on ad-hoc caddie requests to ensure guest satisfaction
- Ensure all daily golf is checked-in and accounted for
- Ensure all closing duties for staff are completed before staff departs for the day
- Work with reservationists to ensure accurate bookings and information for overnight/daily guests
- Continuously review Google Docs to ensure accuracy
- Ensure event & transportation items are charged accurately
- Assist in hiring and scheduling of Night Porters and Golf Shop Attendants
Manage Venue Facility and Supplies:
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of all assigned work areas.
- Oversee distribution of work and side duties.
- Monitor supply levels and communicate what needs to be ordered and when
Merchandise
- Assist with monthly inventory.
- Assist merchandise team with receiving, tagging, restocking, and maintain merchandise displays as needed.
- Ensure Golf Shop Attendants are completing their duties while assisting keeping the shop organized by continual folding and restocking.
Qualifications
- Apply physical dexterity with some bending, stretching, reaching grabbing, holding and carrying
- Previous golf management software and operating a POS system preferred.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs. daily
- The ability to stand up to 8 hours a day
- The ability to work productively at a desk/computer for 8 hours a day.
Schedule
Estimated 45-55 hours/week, with average 6 days per week. April - October 2024
