Marketing Business Application Specialist

Job Summary:
The Marketing Business Application Specialist will oversee the daily operations of our hospital's new specialized app. This app will be a critical tool for patients, visitors, and staff, offering features such as wayfinding, messaging, and access to MyChart. This role will be responsible for ensuring the app remains current and accurate, providing essential information to hospital staff, patients, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily Monitoring: Monitor and maintain the hospital app to ensure all information, including maps, directions, and messaging features, are up-to-date and accurate.
• User Communication: Regularly update app users with critical information such as office closures, weather delays, construction obstacles, and other relevant announcements.
• Emergency Coordination: Collaborate with hospital departments to disseminate emergency alerts and instructions through the app promptly.
• Data Integrity: Ensure the integrity and security of information within the app, adhering to hospital policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with app management and content updating processes.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey updates and information to diverse audiences.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and respond promptly to urgent situations.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to maintain accuracy and reliability of app information.
• Team Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

Education:
Required: Associate degree or equivalent of two years in college (could include specialized professional training) with focus on Marketing, Communications or another related field

Preferred: College degree in Marketing, Communications or another related field.

Experience:
Required: One year experience in a Marketing-related position.

Preferred: One year paid experience in a Marketing position in healthcare.

Department Position Summary:
Working at the direction of the Senior Web Development and Graphic Design Manager, the Marketing Business Application Specialist is responsible for managing and supporting marketing-specific software applications that are used to complete business functions. They are the go-to expert for all marketing software and technical needs and provider personalized support, including training, troubleshooting and maintenance of applications.
Responsibilities include:

• Ensure the software applications are working efficiently and effectively.
• Identify potential enhancements
• Analyze user needs
• Provide recommendations to improve business processes.
• Collaborate with the web development team and software application vendors.
• Ensure the protection of sensitive business information.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the applications used by the organization
• Test and deploy new applications
• Ensure the applications are up to date with the latest security patches.
• Track KPIs such as user acquisition, engagement, and retention rates to assess performance
• Collaborate with marketing teams to create campaigns and strategies
• Other duties as assigned

Must be detailed-oriented and have a logistic approach to problem solving. Possess strong communication skills, have a customer focused mindset and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have strong technical expertise and database management. This position plays a pivotal role in driving business efficiency and improving user experience.
