Diagnostic Ultrasonographer Job Summary
Under the direction of the Ultrasound Supervisor and/or OB/Gyn physician, performs a variety of ultrasound procedures, including OB/Gyn exams. This position is involved in a team-based approach to care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs diagnostic ultrasound images, produces documentation, and shares essential information with healthcare personnel to diagnose and monitor various conditions such as Gynecological abnormalities and pregnancy.
- Utilizes independent judgment and initiative in utilizing ultrasound equipment to create high-quality images.
- Maintains excellent communication and rapport with physicians.
Requirements:
- Must be registered or registry eligible by the ARDMS.
- Must have medical and/or hospital clinical experience.
- Basic computer experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One-year prior hospital experience in ultrasound.
This position requires a team player who can coordinate care for patients, support patients/families/caregivers in self-management, self-efficacy, and behavior change, and manage the practice's patient population.
