NP/PA Urgent Care (Erlanger Western Carolina)

Job Summary: >This full-time position is at one of our Urgent Care locations in Murphy, NC. Responsible for providing acute care services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating and educating patients. >>Education:>Required: >BSN required; MSN required. Successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner (general or specialized) from an approved nurse practitioner program. >>Preferred:>>Experience:>Required: Minimum three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting, plus two years of nurse practitioner experience. Computer skills and working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Windows and Office applications. >>Preferred:>>Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration>Required: >Current North Carolina registered nurse license. Current North Carolina license as an advanced registered nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority. BLS completed prior to going to the unit/department and maintained going forward>>The Nurse Licensure Compact will not change how to obtain or renew a North Carolina license. However, the North Carolina nursing license will be a single state license for North Carolina Residents or non-compact state residents. North Carolina licensure or multistate licensure from a compact state must be obtained within three months of hire for non-North Carolina residents.>>Preferred:>>Department Position Summary:>Responsible for providing primary care to services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating and educating patients. Works closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care.
