Warehouse Training Coordinator Job Summary:
The Warehouse Training Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive onboarding training program for new hires, ensuring all employees receive ongoing education on process improvements, policy updates, and annual competencies. This role plays a vital part in maintaining operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous learning within Cold Zone’s 24/7 warehouse and distribution operations.
Warehouse Training Coordinator Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute new hire onboarding training programs and schedules.
- Design and deliver process improvement training for all employees.
- Maintain and track annual competency assessments for warehouse staff.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and workflow enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including maintenance and periodic revisions.
- Conduct regular training sessions, workshops, and refresher courses.
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, making necessary adjustments.
- Provide training and support on Warehouse Management Systems (WMS),
- Move, load, and unload food products, materials, and/or packages by hand, pallet jack, or forklift from trucks and railcars
Warehouse Training Coordinator Skills/Abilities:
- Strong background in warehouse operations, distribution, and training.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferably Royal 4.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop structured training programs and track employee progress.
- Experience in SOP development, maintenance, and updates.
- Flexible schedule availability to support 24/7 operations.
- Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset.
- Experience in policy development and compliance training.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Warehouse Training Coordinator Education and Experience:
- Required: Associate’s degree or equivalent, bachelor’s preferred.
- Required: Three years of warehouse experience, five years preferred.
Warehouse Training Coordinator Physical and/or Travel Requirements:
- Prolonged stationary periods
- Must be able to live up to 50 pounds at a time
- Ability to safely ambulate from flat surfaces to platforms and/or on and off various pieces of equipment
