Overview:

As Manager, Enterprise Reliability Engineering in the distribution transformer industry, you will be pivotal in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing processes and equipment. Overseeing a team that includes a Maintenance Clerk (CMMS) and Advanced Manufacturing Engineers / Project Leads, your role will focus on optimizing existing platforms and equipment to enhance production reliability, minimize downtime, and support our commitment to producing high-quality transformers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering, a keen understanding of maintenance strategies, and experience in leading projects aimed at improving manufacturing efficiency and equipment reliability. This role is strategically positioned within our distribution transformer manufacturing company to define and implement enterprise-level strategies, ensuring alignment and standardization across all plant operations, thereby guiding our teams towards excellence in manufacturing processes and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of reliability-centered maintenance strategies across all manufacturing operations.
  • Oversee the Maintenance Clerk (CMMS) to ensure accurate and efficient maintenance scheduling, record-keeping, and inventory management.
  • Direct Advanced Manufacturing Engineers and Project Leads in identifying, planning, and executing projects that enhance equipment reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of equipment failures and develop solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance and reliability processes, leveraging data analytics to inform decision-making.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, and project outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of safety and compliance with all environmental and occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within cost constraints.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry trends in equipment maintenance and reliability engineering.
  • Mentor and develop team members, building a high-performing team focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree or certification in Reliability Engineering, Maintenance Management, or similar is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience with 5 or more in a reliability engineering or maintenance leadership role, preferably within the distribution transformer or similar industry.
  • Proven track record of improving equipment reliability and performance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading and managing technical teams and projects.
  • Familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), total productive maintenance (TPM), and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong background in data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
