Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in HR Management role required.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities
The Director of Human Resources is the primary individual responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources function at the hospital. Uses his or her expertise and training in Human Resources functions to put in place and manage the implementation of all necessary Human Resources policies and protocols necessary for successful operation of the hospital. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
Contributes to the evaluation and revisions of organizational strategic HR goals, activities, and resources.
Maintain responsibility for company compliance with federal and state legislation impacting Human Resources functions at the hospital.
Communicate changes in policies and procedures and ensures proper compliance is followed.
Assist Senior Management in the annual review, preparation, and administration of company wage and salary program.
Manage the risk management work functions and assisting in developing health and safety programs for the staff. Partners with leadership to oversee and manage workers compensation and employee injury claims and administration.
Manages full-cycle employee leave administration.
Facilitates employee communications for monthly new hire orientation including coordinating and scheduling with employees and presenters. Conducts presentations on HR policies and procedures, wellness, and benefit plans.
Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters. Promote through practice a problem-solving, solutions-oriented environment that builds talent and organizational capabilities and establishes a positive environment that aligns with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Collaborates with the Recruiting Team, Managers and Directors on recruitment efforts to ensure appropriate staffing in all areas of the facility including screening, interviewing, prompt offers and processing of new hires.
Ensures recognition programs are designed for employee retention and satisfaction. Directs and implements quarterly recognition, wellness, and retention plans. Collaborates and strategizes with all Manager’s and Director’s on initiatives to reduce contract labor via net hire and turnover reduction.
Provides orientation, education, training to directors, managers and leaders regarding human resources tools and staff development. Promote continued learning and skill development of all teams and assist in ensuring applicable internal training programs meet the needs of employees to deliver exemplary care and service.
Directs payroll time and attendance processes at the hospital.
Manages, supervises, and directs all personnel in the Human Resources Department, including hiring, discipline, and termination.
Takes Administrator Call in rotation with other hospital management team members, during which time employee will be expected to make critical administration-level decisions regarding emergency and other administrative matters in all departments of the hospital which arise during the call period.
