Job Summary
Erosion Control Experts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and timely estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all costs are accounted for and that projects remain within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent project management skills, and the ability to negotiate contracts effectively.
Highlights of what our Estimatorwill do:
- Review construction documents and understand scope of work to bid.
- Execute take-offs of construction documents.
- Input take-offs into spreadsheets.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
- Informs immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or computer database.
- Prepares cost analysis by capturing all material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs required for installation of projects.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information necessary for accurate estimating.
Skills & experience that are necessary as a Senior Estimator will include, but not limited to:
- Experience in Construction estimator.
- Construction estimating experience required. Landscape construction estimating is preferred.
- Experienced with takeoff and estimating software BlueBeam.
- Intermediate to advanced skill level in Excel and mathematics
- Extremely detailed and strong work ethic
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $51,840.00 per year
