Field Service Technician/Lube Technician

We are searching for a detail-oriented individual who will ensure equipment meets our quality standards of cleanliness, is punctual, and observes all safety measures.

As a Heavy Equipment Lube Technician, you will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of various types of earth moving and aerial equipment. At all times, you must display a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service.

A typical day might include the following:

• Lubricating moving parts of heavy equipment
• Injecting grease into units, such as springs, universal joints, and steering knuckles using hand or compressed-air powered grease gun
• Inspecting fluid levels
• Lubricating moving parts with specified lubricants
• Draining oil from crankcase and refills crankcase with required amount of oil
• Travel, evenings, and weekends are required for this position

Top candidates will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• 3 years' experience in a similar role: oiler/lube technician experience, with knowledge of heavy equipment
• Class B license required with medical card
• Must have experience in heavy equipment maintenance including diesel mechanics, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and general repair of heavy equipment specifically excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, backhoes, scrapers, forklifts, compactors and other types of aerial and earth moving equipment
• Working knowledge of engine, power train, electrical, and hydraulic systems

Additional qualifications:

• Ability to accurately complete all daily paperwork required
• Must be able to perform visual inspections on machines and report conditions/deficiencies
• Must comply with all safety & environmental requirements
• Able to effectively communicate with equipment personnel
• Able to lift 40 lbs
• Factory, vocational, or mechanical training is preferred
