Job Overview:
Ergo Solutions is hiring a Construction Project Lead in Bergen County, New Jersey, to manage their offshore wind construction projects.
This is a long-term contract opportunity, although a direct position may open up in the future. The successful candidate will work with a global cable and optical fiber company on multiple offshore wind projects.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure project scope, objectives, budget, and schedule align with stakeholder expectations and organizational goals.
Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, and vendors.
Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and contractual obligations.
Regularly report the project's progress, performance, any problems, and potential risks to senior management.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in project management principles, methodologies, relevant technologies, and leadership in best practices.
Experience in offshore wind construction, maritime construction, or heavy industrial manufacturing environments.
Exceptional leadership, motivation, problem-solving, and empowerment skills, with a track record of delivering high-performance and quality outcomes.
Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills, with experience in working with cross-functional and multidisciplinary project teams and internal and external stakeholders at different levels.
Proficient in managing changes, risks, and uncertainties, and communicating effectively and persuasively with diverse audiences.
A good working knowledge of marine, mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Able to travel (domestic and internationally) as required.
