Job Overview
Sunflower Construction is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee large-scale commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Oversee all phases of construction, from design coordination and permitting through project execution and closeout
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure quality and timely performance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly to avoid project delays
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality
- Facilitate project meetings, generate progress reports, and provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and closeout documents
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, with a focus on structural steel and concrete construction
- ~7 years of project management experience in commercial construction (retail, office, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, etc.)
- ~ Proven track record of managing projects with budgets ranging from $5 million to $50 million
- ~ Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and building codes
- ~ Experience managing multiple subcontractors and vendors simultaneously
Salary and Benefits
$120,000 - $150,000 per year performance-based bonuses
