Ervin Technologies is the rapidly growing manufacturing and development center for Ervin Industries, a global corporation and the worldwide leader in steel abrasives. The division operates as a high tech metal particle producer with diverse metallurgical manufacturing processes.
The Assistant Plant Manager oversees human resources, purchasing, payroll, and office management activities. The following functions include but are not limited to: HR – recruiting, interviewing, hiring, discipline, benefits administration, workers comp paperwork, labor law compliance, fielding employee concerns, compensation and recordkeeping. Purchasing – competitive quotes, ordering, data entry, supplier evaluations, purchasing contracts. They directly manage the Accounting Clerk and Receptionist and can fill in for either if necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Business Management, or Finance preferred and/or equivalent combination of work experience and education
- Good math, verbal, and written skills
- 3-5 years of experience in a business environment
- Computer skills – highly skilled in Excel and MRP systems and efficient data entry skills.
- 3-5 years of progressively responsible work experience
- Previous experience with ISO, OSHA, EGLE desired
