Job Description

Join our team in Eastern Alabama with this low volume emergency medicine opportunity. Clay County is a small independent hospital serving the town and community of Ashland, Alabama. The position is ideally suited for a family physician with emergency and Inpatient experience.

Job Details :

  • Daily ER volume is about 15 patients per day.
  • 24 - hour shifts with flexible scheduling
  • Local hospitalist coverage is available Monday-Friday
  • Quality nursing staff
  • Lab and Radiology services 24 / 7
  • Participates in Alabama Trauma Network ()
  • EMR is CPSI

Clay County Hospital is an acute care hospital with 53 beds. The hospital provides a comprehensive list of services including radiology services, physical and occupational therapy, emergency room, hospice, cardiology clinic, a nursing home and sleep lab.

Ashland, Alabama has quaint, small-town charm appeal in large quantities. Downtown includes several restaurants, an arts center and a bookstore. Other key features include :

  • Located near Lake Harris and the Talladega National Forest.

    • Requirements

  • EM and inpatient experience required.
  • Active Alabama Physician licence
  • Current ACLS, ATLS and PALS certifications
