Position Summary:
The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing critical projects, including a network infrastructure refresh and an upcoming acquisition (M&A). This role requires a highly experienced and versatile project management professional with a strong understanding of traditional project management principles and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and independent individual with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of navigating organizational complexities and driving successful project outcomes. This individual will play a key role in shaping the future of project management within Great Expressions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex projects, including network infrastructure refresh initiatives and M&A activities, from initiation to closure.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Effectively manage project scope, identify and mitigate risks and issues, and ensure timely delivery of project objectives.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, technical teams, and external partners.
- Apply formal project management principles and methodologies to ensure projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a traditional PMO framework, recommending best practices, processes, and tools.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, fostering a positive and productive project environment.
- Navigate organizational dynamics with maturity and emotional intelligence, effectively engaging with both long-tenured employees and new stakeholders.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within project management.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular status reports to stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strong independent judgment and the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
- Focus on driving new initiatives and growth while effectively managing current challenges.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (typically 8 years) as a Project Manager, with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience managing network infrastructure refresh projects.
- Experience with M&A projects is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of traditional project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall).
- Formal training and certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively.
