Level Degree / Years’ Experience 5 Requires 12 to 15 years with BS / BA or 10 to 13 years with MS / MA or 7 to 9 years with Ph.D.
Senior Oracle Database Administrator-Key to lead and guide all design and upgrade efforts encompassing the Oracle Database environments across a large-scale enterprise Information Technology (IT) program.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Databases are operating efficiently and effectively.
- Support database migrations and consolidations (ad-hoc and scheduled).
- Oversee database replication, which may include the setup for new replication activities.
- Develop Service Design Packages and maintain SOPs for all Oracle database systems
- Responsible for insuring compliance with all regulations, upgrade and optimize the performance of Oracle Databases and support future planning efforts
- Configure environments for and in support of all Oracle database related aspects of user acceptance testing, functional acceptance testing, system-level testing, database security testing, installation / migration testing, configuration / compatibility testing, and performance, load and stress testing, as well as support of systems assurance tasks.
