Qualifications:
- Master’s degree required
- Experience successfully leading a campus as a Campus Principal
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Valid Texas Principal Certification (068 or 268)
- Knowledge of effective research: change process, systems thinking,
- organizational culture and adult learners
- Ability to plan implement, deliver and sustain professional development for school and district personnel
- Advanced knowledge of curriculum practices, instruction, assessment, school improvement, and organizational culture
- Knowledge of federal and state accountability systems
- Any acceptable variations of the above as approved by the Executive Director
- Recommended by ESC Executive Director
Center Responsibilites:
- Process all personal timekeeping, travel reporting and other paperwork in a timely manner
- Maintain professional attire and grooming appropriate for specific job position
- Demonstrate punctual and regular attendance on the job
- Reports for work ready to perform responsibilities
- Supports the mission, goals, and objectives of the ESC
- Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the ESC
- Performs professional responsibilities as required by ESC policies, processes, and procedures

Position Responsilbilites:
- Coordinate and support secondary campus leadership development through professional development, technical assistance, coaching, and implementation support
- Coordinate Secondary First Time Administrators Academy
- Coordinate Secondary Campus Leadership summits/conferences
- Coordinate regular networking opportunities for secondary campus leaders
- Facilitate Secondary Campus Leadership ESC8 Advisory Group
- Coordinate required training and support as required for elementary campus leaders
- Collect data and feedback to assist in providing relevant and necessary supports for campus leadership that span the broad complexities of the role
- Work in collaboration with ESC8 staff to provide intra- and inter-departmental efforts for providing services and supports for campus instructional leaders
- Train the state recommended appraisal system for teachers and school leaders: AEL (Advancing Educational Leadership), TTESS, SLO and TPESS
- Lead and coordinate all efforts to provide the delivery of services, supports, and technical assistance to districts and secondary campuses relating to state & federal accountability systems and legal requirements
- Collaborate with Coordinator of Elementary Campus Leadership & Accountability to ensure alignment of supports and services to LEAs
- Provide on-site visits to campuses and districts as appropriate
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Terms of Employment:
Up to 226 working days
This is an at-will employment position.
In the event of an economic slump, a reduction-in-force may be necessary. Employees will be notified in writing.
