Job Title: Instructional Technology Coordinator (K-12)
Job Summary:
The Instructional Technology Coordinator will support and enhance the integration of technology in K-12 classrooms to improve student learning outcomes. This position is responsible for providing professional development, coaching educators, and ensuring that technology is used effectively to support instructional goals. The coordinator will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and IT staff to develop and implement innovative technology strategies aligned with curriculum standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement technology integration strategies to enhance teaching and learning.
Provide professional development and training for teachers and staff on instructional technology tools and best practices.
Collaborate with teachers to design and implement technology-rich lesson plans.
Evaluate and recommend instructional technology tools, software, and resources to support curriculum and student engagement.
Assist in the implementation of learning management systems (LMS) and other digital platforms.
Analyze student performance data to assess the impact of technology on learning outcomes.
Work with IT staff to ensure the functionality and security of instructional technology systems.
Stay current with emerging educational technology trends and research.
Assist in the development of district-wide technology policies and guidelines.
Qualifications:
Experience in a K-12 educational setting.
Strong understanding of pedagogy and best practices for integrating technology into instruction.
Experience providing professional development and coaching for educators.
Proficiency in educational technology tools, such as Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft Office 365, and interactive learning platforms.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and IT staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with instructional design and blended/online learning models.
Familiarity with assistive technology and differentiated instruction techniques.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in an educational environment.
Certifications such as Google Certified Educator, ISTE Certified Educator, or similar.
