Job Summary:
seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to maintain the beauty and functionality of our resort’s outdoor areas. The ideal candidate will ensure that the grounds are clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing for our guests. This position plays a key role in upholding the resort's image and providing an exceptional guest experience through pristine landscaping and well-maintained outdoor facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain lawns, gardens, walkways, and outdoor resort grounds to a high standard of cleanliness and beauty
· Perform routine landscaping tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, and mulching
· Prune shrubs, trees, and hedges to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal
· Remove debris, trash, leaves, and snow from walkways and communal outdoor areas
· Inspect and maintain irrigation systems, garden equipment, and tools
· Monitor and report any signs of pests, plant diseases, or hazardous conditions
· Treat and maintain resort pond(s), including monitoring water quality, applying appropriate treatments, and ensuring safe and clean conditions
· Assist with seasonal decorations and setup for outdoor resort events
· Perform basic maintenance tasks such as minor repairs to outdoor furniture or structures
· Follow all safety procedures and resort policies
· Provide courteous assistance to guests when approached or asked for directions or information
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or gardening experience required
· Knowledge of basic landscaping tools, equipment, and techniques
· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
· Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and lawn care chemicals
· Valid chemical application license (or ability to obtain one) required for safe use of fertilizers, pesticides, and pond treatments
· Strong attention to detail and a sense of pride in keeping the resort looking its best
· Good communication and teamwork skills
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Valid driver’s license may be required depending on resort layout and transportation needs
