HR ASSOCIATE (INTERN)
Location: Marion - in-office
Reports to: Employee Experience Manager
Exempt or Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt
Status: Internship/Full-time (on the job training)
Typical Working Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm
May be required to work extended hours including holidays and weekends due to the 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year type of service ESCO provides its clients.
Synopsis:
The HR Associate is an entry position within the employee experience structure of ESCO Group. This position is best described as a business resource supporting a variety of HR related tasks and issues with a focus on learning. Experience will be focused within a multi-discipline employee experience team. This position requires the acquisition of basic HR skills and technologies.
Background and Work Experience:
To be considered, candidates should have:
· Enrollment in or completion of an associate degree or equivalent related experience.
· Demonstrated to be highly proficient with computer technologies including but not limited to, Windows Operating Systems, and the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred:
· Experience in human resources.
· Experience handling high-volume administration tasks.
· Completion of a previous internship experience.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The HR Associate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
· Maintain employee records and enter data into spreadsheets and other human resources software packages.
· Support interviewing process, onsite visits, career fairs, and other recruiting activities as needed.
· Assist with updates and revisions are needed in the Employee Manual, job descriptions, policies, and other documentation.
· Utilize, support, and enhance ESCO’s standards and best practices.
· Understand and follow all safety, conduct, and policy requirements established by ESCO and clients.
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or deemed necessary by management.

Travel Required:
This position does not generally require overnight travel. Some daily travel may be required to other office locations, training, and seminars.
