Key Responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities
- Create CNC files for a variety of CNC machines using established detailed criteria.
- Review sales work orders for accuracy and communicate if errors are found.
- Review artwork for accuracy and communicate if errors are found.
- Field questions about designs from sales staff & production.
- Determine the sequence of machine operations and select proper cutting tools.
- Determine reference points & machine cutting paths
- Calculate dimensions of work pieces & products.
- Create documents used by machine operators.
- Determine machine settings.
- Use 3D and/or 2D computer assisted design/drafting software to develop designs of new and existing products.
- Draft fully detailed multi-view shop drawings from sketches and order information provided by customers.
- Maintain and follow Drafting and Engineering Standards.
- Maintain an organized file system for production drawings.
- Maintain revisions of files.
- Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to the team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Work independently or as part of a team depending on the project needs.
- Read drawings (2D & 3D) to produce accurate files.
- Software Knowledge to include SolidWorks, Flexi and Enroute preferred.
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with coworkers and other departments.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team required.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or other 3D Modeling Software preferred.
- Knowledge of Graphite or AutoCAD 2D drawing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Flexi, Sign Wizard, Enroute, LED Wizard a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
