The Pro Sports Operations Specialist is responsible for camp-related customer service and administrative needs throughout the camp. The Pro Sports Operations Specialist will work directly with Jr. 76ers Camps and Phillies Baseball Academy Camps.
Essential Job Responsibilities :
Pre-Camp Operations
Talent Operations
- Assist Pro Sports Talent Team in onboarding and delivering virtual team training to summer team members.
- Create and distribute personalized staff hire social media graphics to summer team members.
Team Training
Write, produce, and execute video tutorials for the learning management system. Process includes scripting videos, coordinating production, and creating post-tutorial evaluation tools.Edit key training materials, including but not limited to : Team Handbooks, ESF Camper Care Training, and ESF Health & Safety Training.Assist program General Managers in creating Team Training presentations and deliver programs to summer team members.Camp Readiness
Prepare staff uniform kits for summer team members.Create “Spirit of ‘76” character cards for Jr. 76ers Camps.Label site bins for all Jr. 76ers and Phillies Baseball Academy locations.Create calendar and shot list for summer Multimedia team.Create calendars for Jr. 76ers Legends visits and for Phillies Baseball Academy.Prepare camp binders and folders for Jr. 76ers Camps and Phillies Baseball Academy.Summer Operations
Customer Service
Serve as a point person for Jr. 76ers and Phillies Baseball Academy Camps families; respond to inquiries in person as well as over the phone.Greet campers and their guardians; take attendance upon arrival.Answer telephones and transfer calls to appropriate team membersCall camp families to confirm enrollment or discuss camper needs.Camp Supplies and Branding
Assist ESF Operations teams in deliveries for Pro Sports properties.Setup branding at site according to Jr. 76ers and Phillies Baseball Academy Camps standards.Ensure that the camp storage is clean, organized, and well-maintained.Maintain inventory and complete assigned paperwork.Camp Registration
Assist families in enrolling their campers using the CRM database.Update camper records and input pertinent information into the database.Requirements :
Education : current college student or graduate; internship opportunity for Sport and Recreation Management students.Experience :Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in an administrative and / or customer service role.
Previous experience working in a camp, school (or similar field) preferred.Experience teaching and working with children.Technology Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and ability to use CRM database.Hours : Typically, from 7 : 30 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m., Monday through Friday.Schedule Commitment : Any schedule changes must be pre-approved by the General Manager of Jr. 76ers Camps and / or General Manager of Phillies Baseball Academy Camps.Required Training : Complete all required ESF and state-mandated training and onboarding.Dress Code : Maintain the "ESF Camps Look" (camp uniform) and embody the spirit of the camp.Reporting Relationships :
Directly report to and take guidance from the program General Managers of Jr. 76ers and Phillies Baseball Academy Camps, with additional accountability to the Director of Customer Engagement for Pro Sports.
Additional Responsibilities :
Push / pull, lift, and carry a minimum of thirty-five (35) pounds across campus. Work outside, upright, and mobile for six (6) to eight (8) hours per day
Respond to emergencies, including running (up to 1 mile in some cases) and ascending stairs without undue exertion.
