Brief Description
Inframark is hiring! We are looking for a Mechanic - Welder to join our Plaquiements Parrish team based in Belle Chasse, LA that is responsbile for the operations and repair of municipal water and wastewater plants. You would be part of our maintenance team and would repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, generators, electric motors, pneumatic pumps and tools, motor control centers, and control panels by performing the following duties. We would ask you to have welding certificates related to MIG, TIG and/or stick welding.
Duties And Responsibilities
Prefer three months of related experience, high school diploma or GED, or specialized vocational training. Must have a valid state driver’s license and meet minimum driving standards.
Knowledge Of
The position requires some responsibility for safety and health of others and/or for occasional enforcement of the standards of public safety or health.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent standing, kneeling, bending and climbing. The employee must be able to use hands to operate and manipulate tools and equipment. This position requires very heavy physical exertion including the ability to lift over 50 pounds and exert over 100 pounds of force on a regular basis.
The employee must be willing to work non-standard and overtime hours as required.
The position requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, hearing, and depth perception.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble
- Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
- Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
- Repair or replace defective parts
- Install special functional and structural parts in devices
- Lubricate and clean parts
- Start devices to test their performance
- Initiate purchase order parts and machines
- Repair electrical equipment
- Attend safety classes, reinforce and comply with company safety policies
- Work harmoniously with ESG employees and the public and comply with ESG policies
